Straight from "Something New": Let Go, Let Flow. I'm letting go of: my career in BigLaw, fears, and excuses; I'm letting positive energy flow. Life is short, so following my dream to travel the world NOW. Excited for the people I will meet, adventures that await, learning, and soul searching/personal growth that is to be discovered. This blog is intended to document all of the above.
Because this photo of me crossing THE Abbey Road is way more fun than the photos of me walking in the “correct” direction
Based on dates written under the signatures, looks like they repaint the wall in front of the studio at least annually to make space for new visitors to literally add their mark.
Some fascinating info on the wall next door to Abbey Road Studios.
1962: four lads… gee, wonder who that could be?
Because I forgot to snap a photo of the phenomenal Indian food I had, and because no post would be complete without at least 1 food picture, introducing the house made veggie burger topped with BBQ jackfruit and guac. And yes, that’s a huge plate of BBQ sweet potato fries in the background. So.Much.Yum!

But I certainly had loads of fun trying at every booth we came across.
Peek-a-boo! (This one smelled of piss so much I couldn’t stomach standing inside, LOL!)
Standing on the Tower Bridge looking across the River Thames into the city.Love the juxtaposition of the old and new.
The famous Tower Bridge.
First trip here was in 2009, during my 1st ever trip to London.
My Host and dear friend, Sarah. Snapped this photo as we started our day of walking around the city.Islington CanalsAnother shot of the lovely Sarah. Just one of many smart, strong, beautiful women I have in my life. I’m a lucky girl!Babies!!! How could I not snap a photo of that cuteness?!
Not sure what to call this one. Contemplative angel perhaps? 😂
This dish IS EVERYTHING. Not that this place is a secret; there was already a line with a 1 hour wait by 6pm!
Loved the art on this building set against the blue sky!
Old meets new.
Selfie at the Urban Food Festival!
Enjoying a glass of Prosecco. Little did I know the meal I was about to eat would blow my mind.
Happy angel!
Serious angel.
YES to happiness.
For the first time in YEARS British Airways actually had flights available for which I could use my points! Holy miracle Batman. To do so, I needed a layover in London. Luckily I have a dear friend, Sarah, who still lives here, so choosing a long (32 hour) layover was a brilliant opportunity to spend time with her! Win and win!
I’ve been to London twice before but always during winter, so I loved visiting in the summer. I was blessed with sunshine, blue skies, and warm weather my entire visit. For anyone who knows London well, you’re as shocked as I was by that. What a pleasant surprise! After sleeping very little on my flight over from Nashville (middle seat in coach, and if possible, I think BA economy seats have less leg room than most US domestic airlines offer in coach), my goal was to stay up and awake until 9-10pm, so I could adjust to the new time zone as quickly as possible. Thanks to such glorious weather, we set off to explore London, primarily on foot, and ended up walking 11.2km (7 miles) around the city. We started at the canals in Islington, right by Sarah’s flat, before heading into Shoreditch for food and drinks, and finishing the day with a trip across Tower Bridge and catching a summer concert (featuring a NOLA band!) beside the River Thames. Today we visited THE famous Abbey Road crosswalk and studios. Brilliant finish to a quick visit, but still so lovely to have time with Sarah. Next stop: Málaga, Spain! Home for the next 2 weeks.
